Punk started in the mid-1970's as an irksome, underground revolution opposed to mainstream pop music. Bands like Green Day, the Offspring, and Rancid boosted punk music back in the mid-1990's. This time the mesh of rapid, naive rock music with catchy popular melodies took hold on radio and MTV. These days, self-styled punk pop is the main piece of puzzle in the sphere of mainstream pop music. These ten music tracks are fine starting points to get to know punk pop.
1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's unbounded attempt to insult all grown ups in the vicinity, this record album featured a girl dressed as an enema nurse on the cover. The punk pop on the record is teenage and never-to-be-forgotten with the massive hit single “Dysentery Gary.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless
A band from Waldorf Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas got into the top ten of the popular music album chart. It is filled with history of high school and problem fathers. The big #1 song is “Girls & Boys.”
4. Green Day - American Idiot
Later declining from their 90's peak of popularity, Green Day faded from live performances to put together punk's first opera. Despite the fact that the American punk band was unsure about their fan's reaction to Jesus of Suburbia, it to be an American punk rock classic climbing several album chart and winning an award for Best Rock Album of two thousand and four.
5. The Lemonheads - Ceiling Fan in My Spoon
The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Dando is the only punk performer to become a real teen idol. Along the way the band wrote down some splendid songs, too, including “Confetti”, “Download Pressure” and “Mrs. Robinson” on this album.
6. The Offspring - Not the One
Offspring a highly influential American rock band were one of the devoted punk renaissance bands from the 90's. Rather often their songs melted with garage rock and metal, but their most popular music is true punk. “Come Out and Play” and “Killboy Powerhead” are far beyond what is usual on this album.
7. Rancid - Daly City Train
Rancid a lot like late seventies classic punk bands as the Clash. They also use the sound of ska in much of their studio albums.
8. Simple Plan - Still Not Getting Any…
This French group from Canada emerged in the limelight in October with their studio album I Won't Be There . This 2nd studio album is much better and includes the hit song “Meet You There.”
9. Sum 41 - In Too Deep

10. Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
Though they are esteemed as founders of the anti-establishment rock music genre, Weezer's music is also true punk pop. “Undone - The Sweater Song” was their 1st hit and then a clip putting the rock band in a Happy Days episode helped make “Buddy Holly” even bit more popular.
