There exist also a couple of hostels in the city for students and young people. In a regular hostel you will find modest but fresh accommodation facilities and several sofas or beds in one room.
If you are looking for an opportunity to save some buck, you can rent an apartment. Instead of a small hotel room for about $90-150 you can rent an excellent apartment in the city center. Inexpensive one-room apartments may be rent for less than $50. Some owners that allow you to rent such Kyiv apartments might even offer to meet you at the airport. It would be much safer to book the room some days ahead.
